Wyzersdrift Campsite info

The campsite comprises eight designated stands, each accommodating up to four individuals (2 adults and 2 children under 18) along with one vehicle per site. Ablution facilities are well-appointed with hot water, flush toilets (four in total), and three showers.

For convenience, each stand is furnished with a standard power point. Braai facilities are provided at each stand, with guests encouraged to bring their own grid. Additionally, a communal braai area is available for shared use. The campsite features a basic kitchen equipped with communal work surfaces.

Camping regulations will be forwarded upon confirmation of reservations. A minimum booking requirement of two nights is in place, with a nightly rate of R480 per stand. Full payment is obligatory at the time of reservation and is non-refundable.

Check-in time is set at 14:00, and check-out is at 11:00, unless alternative arrangements have been made with the owner. This thoughtfully designed campsite provides a comfortable and well-equipped environment for a memorable camping experience.

HERE IS SOME INFORMATION FOR YOUR VISIT:
PROPERTY IS ACCESSED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THROUGH THE CAMPSITE’S MAIN ENTRANCE; NO ONE IS PERMITTED WITH LARGE BUSES WITHOUT PRIOR ARRANGEMENT AND ACCOMPANIED TOUR.

NO DAY VISITORS ARE ALLOWED ON THE CAMPGROUND, ONLY REGISTERED PERSONS ARE PERMITTED UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE.

BLACK WATTLE WOOD R25 AND ICE R10 PER BAG ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE WITH CASH UPON ARRIVAL; PLEASE ORDER IN ADVANCE.

RULES FOR THE VISIT:
1. ALL CONSERVATION RULES APPLY TO OUR CAMPSITES.
2. GENERAL ACCEPTED SOCIAL BEHAVIOR RULES APPLY. CAMPERS ARE REQUESTED TO RESPECT FELLOW CAMPERS AND KEEP QUIET AFTER 22:00. NO SETTING UP BEFORE 06:00 IN THE MORNING IS ALLOWED.
3. NO PLANTS, TREES, OR ANY FIXED PROPERTY MAY BE REMOVED FROM THE CAMPGROUND. NO GEOLOGICAL OR ARCHAEOLOGICAL OBJECTS MAY BE DISTURBED OR REMOVED.
4. POLLUTION OF WATER, DAMS, FOUNTAINS, OR THE RIVER WITH SOAP AND OTHER CHEMICALS IS PROHIBITED.
5. EVERYTHING YOU BRING MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE CAMPGROUND BY YOU. NO LITTER MAY BE LEFT BEHIND AS WE DO NOT PROVIDE WASTE REMOVAL.
6. YOU MAY ONLY MAKE FIRES IN THE PROVIDED BRAAI DRUMS. THE COLLECTION OF WOOD FROM THE SURROUNDING AREA IS PROHIBITED.
7. CHILDREN SWIMMING IN THE RIVER OR DAM MUST BE UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES.
8. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE WATER AT THE ABLUTION BLOCKS, AS IT IS A SCARCE RESOURCE.
9. WYZERSDRIFT CAMPSITE AND THE OWNERS/REPRESENTATIVES ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE OR LOSS THAT MAY OCCUR IN ANY FORM. YOU ENTER THE AREA AND UTILIZE THE AVAILABLE FACILITIES AND CAMP AT YOUR OWN RISK.
10. PLEASE KEEP THE GATE CLOSED AT ALL TIMES, AND DO NOT PROVIDE YOUR GATE CODE TO OTHERS.
11. SPEED LIMIT ON ALL ROADS IS 20KM/H, PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS WHEN ENTERING THE FARM FOR OTHER VEHICLES. IT IS A WORKING ENVIRONMENT.
12. FIREARMS ARE PROHIBITED ON THE CAMPGROUND AS WELL AS THE FARM SURROUNDINGS.
13. SMOKERS MUST EXTINGUISH CIGARETTES CAREFULLY AND THOUGHTFULLY DUE TO THE RISK OF VELDFIRES.
14. THE USE OF DRONES IS NOT ALLOWED AT THE RESORT.
15. IN SUMMER, SNAKES MAY BE PRESENT AS WE ARE LOCATED ON A FARM AND NEAR THE MOUNTAINS; PLEASE BE VIGILANT.”
